5:15 scrape down bowl last 15 sec              air determination - cup (straight edge)

Recover

Fill dish, tamp 15, smooth w/ straight 1 smooth raised 2 saw motion from center

1:00 apply vacuum 60 sec

Remove droplets

:15 plow and mix 15 sec

Make flow 25 drops 110 ± 5 (trowel)

Calculate: water retention = (flow after/flow before) x 100

 

 

Board Life – Masonry (Lab test only used to determine workability life for field)

Room humidity > 50% (always)

1:00 add water and sand mix 1:00

1:30 add masonry 30 sec

2:30 mix for 1:00

2:45 scrape bowl 15 sec

5:45 mix add enough water the first 3 min is needed.

6:45 continue mix 1:00

Make flow 15 drops 119 ± 1 (trowel)

Recover

:15 mix medium 15 sec

Make pie

30 min from start make flow 15 drops 119 ± 1

60 min from start make flow 15 drops 119 ± 1

90 min from start make flow 15 drops 119 ± 1

 

Normal Consistency – ASTM 187

Time Of Setting – ASTM 191 & 266

Autoclave – ASTM 151

6:30 fill 400 ml measure, three equal layers, tamping each 20 times, 5 taps (straight edge) 1:30

Paste False Set - ASTM C451

1:15 scrape down 15 sec

3:45 mix medium 2 ˝ min

Ball, set up on vicat

4:05 release rod on vicat, 32 ± 4 mm (initial)

4:35 let rod settle for 30 sec

8:45 release rod on vicat record reading (final)

If final is > ˝ of initial calculate

If final is < ˝ of initial

1:00 recover and mix medium for 1:00

Ball, set up on vicat

1:20 release rod on vicat

1:50 let rod settle for 30 sec record remix reading
